Why music submission is free here, honestly
Paid submission platforms make money whether or not your track fits - which is exactly why so many artists get burned by them. PlaylistDock removes money from the artist-curator relationship entirely: curators join for free professional playlist tools, artists submit for free, and placements happen on musical fit alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it really free to submit music?
Yes - completely. No submission fees, no credits, no premium tier. You do not even need an account: paste your track link, pick a playlist, submit. Some curators ask you to follow them back on Spotify, but it is always optional and never blocks your submission.
What is the catch?
There is none to find. Curators use PlaylistDock because the curator tools are free too - a growing network of real playlists and real artists is the whole product. Nobody pays anybody for placements here, by design.
How do I know a placement is real?
Every accepted track is verified directly against Spotify before you get the confirmation email - if it is not actually on the playlist, it does not count.
What happens after I submit my music?
The curator reviews your track and you get an email with the decision either way - including optional feedback. If accepted, you also get a ready-made story graphic to share your placement.
Can I submit the same song to multiple playlists?
Yes - submit to as many genre-matched playlists as you like, up to the daily submission limit. Each curator reviews and decides independently.
Do curators see how many other playlists I submitted to?
No. Each submission is reviewed on its own - your track, your note, and the curator's own judgment of fit. Nothing about your other submissions is shown to them.
